How I work:
A free 10-minute telephone consultation can help you decide if herbal medicine is right for you. If you decide it is, this is followed by:

A first consultation (1hr30)

An initial course of treatment (usually 1 month)

Option to continue treatment with optional ongoing follow-up consultations
Telephone and Skype/Zoom consultations are also available. Home visits may be available on request, with additional travel costs. If possible, it's preferable that your first consultation is face-to-face (this does not apply since Covid 19).
First consultation:
The first consultation takes 1hr30. I take a detailed medical history, covering not only your current and past complaints and medications, but also your diet and lifestyle. This helps me understand the reasons why you've become ill or feel out of balance.
I'll then formulate a bespoke herbal prescription for you and we'll also look at what dietary and lifestyle changes you can integrate into your routines, to help get your body and mind back into balance.
Your treatment:
Prescriptions are usually a mixture of herbal tinctures combined into one bottle that contains enough medicine for the course of your treatment. The medicine is usually taken as teaspoonful doses in water up to three times per day (children are given smaller doses). Herb teas, syrups, tablets or ointments may also be prescribed. A course of treatment, on average, lasts around 3 months.
Follow-up consultations:
After your first consultation it's usually beneficial for us to talk again after three weeks to see how the medicines are working. Follow-up consultations take 1hr. We'll talk about out how the herbs have been helping you and what changes have come about.
We can then continue to work together and adapt your ongoing treatment to you as your body begins it’s healing processes. Herbs can take some time to work, however, some people only need one bottle of medicine. Others prefer a long-term approach, in which case it's advisable to have a follow-up consultation approximately every three months.
Medicine prices:
On top of the consultation/prescription fee, the medicine costs £7- £10 per week on average.

£7.50 per week (100ml)
50ml dropper £4.50 / 30ml dropper £3.50
Echinacea angustifolia, Propolis & Medicinal Mushrooms £10 per 100ml
Creams & Balms:
£5-£6 per 60g
Herbal tea:
£7-£8 per 100g
Plus postage: Small parcel £5.50 (1 month’s medicine) / Medium parcel £7.50 (2 month’s medicine)
Payment: Payment by cash, cheque or via bank transfer (BACS) or by using the Paypal button below.

Questions and enquiries between appointments:
I want to support you get better so I am available to answer any questions that you have between appointments by email, text or a quick phone call if necessary. This is included in the consultation fee. If, however, you wish to speak to me at length between the usual consultations, this can be booked in and will be charged at the same rate as a normal follow-up consultation.
Supplements:
I believe that taking certain supplements can be really instrumental in achieving wellbeing. Because of this, I will email you a basket containing the supplements that I think would be beneficial for you to take, passing on a discount that I receive from the wholesaler.
How long does treatment take?
This is a difficult question to answer as everyone is different. However, generally 3 months is a good amount of time for the herbs to work. If you have an acute health issue, you may just need one treatment, though most people find they need to return for 2 or more sessions.

Repeat prescriptions are available up to a maximum of three months, without having a follow-up consultation.

Dealing with questions and enquiries between appointments:
I want to support you get better, this means I am available to answer any questions that you have between appointments, over email, text or quick phone call. This comes as part and parcel of the fee you’ve paid for the consultation. If however you wish to speak to me at length between consultations, at an arranged time then this is charged at the same rate as a normal consultation.
Supplements:
I believe that taking certain supplements can be really instrumental in achieving wellbeing. Because of this, I pass on my practitioner discount to my patients of 30% off quality supplements.
How long does treatment take?
This is a difficult question to answer as everyone is different. However, I generally say that 3 months gives the herbs a good amount of time to work. If you are coming about an acute health issue it may be that you just need one treatment, however, many people find they need to return for 2 or more sessions.
